Leadership Pipeline Program

A number of groups within Wholesale Banking are dedicated to delivering innovative solutions to our clients, and protecting what they value most. As an associate in the Leadership Pipeline Program (LPP), you will become part of one of these groups by joining a team in the following areas:

  • International Operations
  • Risk Management and Compliance
  • Sales and Client Services
  • Project Management

While there, your project work and day-to-day assignments will help you understand how the business segment fits into Wholesale Banking overall, supports our Vision and Values, and how that team makes an impact on our company and our clients. You'll have the chance to accelerate your professional development through:

  • Classroom and online training in areas such as business writing, data visualization, public speaking and negotiation tactics
  • A capstone project focused on solving real business challenges with a focus on innovation

After the program, you’ll have the experience to be ready to step into a full-time role with your assigned group.


Responsibilities

Based on your assignment, which we'll work with you to identify during the interview process, you may take on some of the following responsibilities:

Operations

  • Support project implementation tasks for multiple lines of business and tech initiatives
  • Shadow select team members to familiarize and assist with operational controls, reconciliation, and oversight responsibilities
  • Research data and analyze system reports
  • Perform metrics gathering for process efficiency improvements
  • Support Executive Summary reporting

Project Management

  • Develop and implement strategies for applications, sales tools, staffing models, and resource management tools
  • Manage projects associated with increasing cross-sell
  • Act as a liaison between team members and business partners

Sales & Client Services

  • Update and analyze prospect information to identify sales opportunities
  • Participate in client meetings to learn product and service capabilities, and sales strategies
  • Develop analytical skills by participating in data mining and customer analytics projects

Wholesale Risk Management and Compliance

  • Read and create process flow charts of business policies
  • Uncover ways to improve risk policies
  • Comprehend government regulations related to financial crimes

After successfully completing the program, you will be ready to step into a full-time role with your assigned line of business.

Available locations

Program opportunities are available in San Francisco, CA, Minneapolis, MN and Charlotte, NC.

Qualifications

Required qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree candidate with an expected undergraduate graduation in December 2017 or May/June 2018
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) skills
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision in a structured environment
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and creative problem solving techniques
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy skills
  • Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to interact with integrity and a high level of professionalism with all levels of team members and management
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
