Consumer Lending Risk Associate Program

Consumer Lending Risk Associate Program

Consumer Lending Risk Associate Program

Wells Fargo is in the business of risk management. We take risk to support our customers and help them succeed financially. The risk we take must be identified, understood, quantified, mitigated if possible, within our risk appetite, and priced to provide a reasonable return. Our professional and diverse risk management team identifies, monitors, and reports current and emerging risk exposures across the company, ensuring coordination and consistency in the application of effective risk management approaches. The team cultivates a strong and objective risk culture, ensuring our risk management processes, frameworks, policies, standards, procedures, resources, and controls effectively safeguard the interests and assets of Wells Fargo and our customers.

The Consumer Lending Risk Associate Program develops a strong, inclusive pipeline of qualified early talent to meet the needs for operational and compliance risk management roles within Consumer Lending and across the enterprise. Participants spend 12-24 months rotating through various risk functions to gain valuable knowledge, training and development, feedback and coaching, and on-the-job experience to prepare them for full-time roles within the risk organization.

During this 12-month program, associates complete two 6-month rotations, performing business analysis and/or modeling activities and working closely with subject matter experts from various credit risk management disciplines including strategy development, performance analysis, loss forecasting, model development/validation, and corporate oversight. Upon successful completion of the program, associates are prepared to transition into a full-time role within the credit risk function.
